Commission an artwork

A Portrait of someone special is a unique way to honor that person and immortalize them in paint FOR YEARS TO COME!
THE COMMISSION PROCESS
It’s really important for me to understand your vision for the portrait. (If you don’t have a vision, don’t worry i will help you come up with one!) I really enjoy getting to know people, finding out what makes them special, so that the finished painting captures their unique character and their true likeness. We can discuss the size, materials & the elements you wish to include in the artwork, as well as the time frame for completion. I am happy to give you a quote. I’d prefer to meet the model for at least one sitting to sketch or takes photos, but I can work from your photos as well, which must be of high-quality.
Artwork Concept:
I will create a mock-up sketch or concept image of the commission, for your approval, this is to make sure you are happy for me to proceed. Before I begin to create your artwork I require a deposit of 30%, the full balance is due upon completion.
The creation process:
I use the finest paints & materials to ensure the longevity of your artwork. A commission can take from 2 weeks to many months to complete depending on its complexity, size & my existing workload. Once the artwork is complete, I can send you a photograph or you are welcome to view it in person. I am open to your feedback & happy to work with you to achieve the best result.
Shipping:
After the work is complete & balance paid, you are welcome to come & collect your artwork, or I can arrange for it to be packed & couriered to your home within New Zealand. For international shipping I will pack it extra carefully & ship it at your cost.
